Os Guns N'Roses forma constituídos em Los Angeles em 1986, data em que editaram o primeiro álbum "Live Like A Suicide".

Inicialmente a banda era composta por Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin e Steven Adler, este último acabou por dar lugar a Matt Sorum, o ex-baterista dos The Cult.

Quanto a álbuns os Guns N'Roses contam com 6 álbuns desde 1986.

"Appetite For Destruction", foi o álbum apresentado ao público em 1987. Os temas "Sweet Child O'Mine", "Welcome To The Jungle" e "Paradise City", conseguiram ficar nos primeiros dez lugares do top americano.

O álbum GN'R Lies' apresentado um ano depois tinha quase todas as músicas do primeiro álbum com a excepção de quatro novos temas acústicos.

Em 1991 os Guns N'Roses editam em conjunto "Use Your Illusion I" e "Use Your Illusion II".

Mas o grupo não era só famoso pelas suas músicas (que tinham referências a sexo, violência e drogas), eles também eram conhecidos por serem um pouco excêntricos em público.

Quando saíu o álbum, "The Spaghetti Incident?", em 1993, o guitarrista Slash sai da banda. Ficando apenas Axl como o único membro da grupo criado em 1986.

O último trabalho que fizerm foi em 1999, com a música "Oh My God", para o filme "End Of Days".
